While you guys were busy celebrating ‘Oliver’ & En's B'day, which I missed : ( I was busy celebrating ‘Taiwan!’ :D Oh and me was loving it lots! :D Everyone there was so nice and friendly, and gosh, u think it only happens in tvs because they are actresses, those girls being all slim and manja-ie, talking as though they are still 15 when in fact they are already 20, so that guys who drool over them would continue watching the show though it’s about as interesting as a documentary on cockroaches.. slim and manja-ie girls actually flooded all streets in Taiwan! May it be Taipei, Taichung, Taoyuan, Jiufen.. or anywhere else that I visited! *amazing*

Sadly though, the only close to cute guy was probably the one I saw modeling for some clothing's line in Sogo =/.. and those on posters???

I actually told my dad that and we had a ‘spot the non-slim girl’ competition while we were walking along one of the biggest night markets in Taiwan, ‘Shilin Night Market’. By the end of the night, we only managed to spot TWO. And trust me those two were not even fat! They were just plump.. around my size, or maybe slightly fatter? Makes me feel obese walking on those streets : ( *sighs*

Makes one feel fortunate to be living in Malaysia where people aren’t all anorexic (I’m just being bitter, they were nice slim kinda slim, but I’m not saying that.), or everyone would have probably forgotten my real name, due to everyone calling me ‘fatty’ way too much! O.0

Or maybe it would have been good motivation to lose weight.. *imagines steaming HOT Waynie, with Megan Fox’s buttocks and legs, Jessica Alba’s arms and abs.. lala hairstyle? LOL!* :p

My dad has been watching those food promoting programs on TVB the past few weeks to months, most of the time promoting food in Taiwan. Taiwan’s famous for their ‘siao che’(direct translation : small eat), those promoters praising pretty much each and every thing they ate, making watchers drools on their sofas anticipating the day they would be able to taste them with their very own taste buds. Guess the reason my Dad chose Taiwan as our holidaying spot? :p Winner gets an applause by me : ) hahaa

We joined a tour of which left on the 15th and reached Taiwan at dinner time. First stop was already a food area.

The next day we went to Yeh Liu Geopark, of which I enjoyed the scenery the most throughout the whole trip. It was not only beautiful but also unique! Aside from the blazing sun.. which made us all sweat like open running taps, though the sunshine did give some nice natural lighting for picture taking : )

The famous Chinese singer, Deng Li Jun (What's her english name again?), the one who sang "Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin" is burried on the island behind us.

A rock in the shape of a Queen's head! 30 years back when my dad visited this place, the 'queen's' neck was much thicker, due to the constant blowing wind, it has became thinner over the years. It is said that in years to come, this rock would eventually break. So take a good look at it while u can before she is beheaded!

Pork on rice. Taiwan's rices' are smaller, rounder and cuter than our normal rice. They like putting oil over it too, usually melted pork fat, which makes it smooth and slippery.. and absolutefreakinglicious! :D

We later checked in to our 2nd hotel in an area called Jiaoxi which is famous for their hotspring. They have nude hotsprings and swimming costume ones. But according to our tour guide, most people here prefer to soak nude, as with swimming costumes, the parts covered aren't able to get the effect of the hot spring. Our hotel's public hot spring was unfortunately.. nude : ( However, our room had a hot spring tub itself, how cool is that! :D Although jacuzzis, hydrotherapy bath and other functions were only available in the public hot spring in the hotel, who cares man! I'm so not goin in nude. I don't care if it's all females only! *covers*

The guards guarding Cihu's preserved body.. they are real people who aren't allowed to move. They don't even blink! Apparently a bright torch light of some sort was put in front of them during training, and they were to stare at it without blinking for an hour! They change guards every hour, with a assitant by their side to wipe their sweat. My tour leader was saying that she would salute those who managed to make them smile :p U're allowed to do anything you want to them so long as you don't touch them. Of which they would bang their guns so hard on the ground, you'd jump out of your skin. My tour leader actually kena-ed before :p ahahha

We went to the Ta Shee Blooming Oasis and Ta Shee Ancient Street before reaching our final destinatoin for the day and bed for the night, in Miaoli Flying Cow Ranch!

And that ends my 4th day in Taiwan : ) As for the other 2 days, I shall write about it and upload pictures some other time.. the pictures are taking FOREVER to load, and my patience has about run out.

Celebrating Oliver.

So Oliver came back and he even started an event on FB making sure we all got it and will attend. An event lasting a WHOLE day.

We started at Rakuzen in Chulan Square.

Below are the people who attended.

The place ain't bad. But then again I might be biased since I love Japanese food.

We then proceeded to jalan-jalan at Pavillion. We did stop at some Hong Kong Dessert Place- yes that is actually the name of the place- and have a drink and catch up.

Then came time for everyone to leave but me and Oli contemplated to stay since dinner is only 2 hours away and 5 minutes away (distance). BUT we followed Ding Shyong home instead!

His house is of course as massive as everyone said I'd be. It has an underground car park! Also, the place has more fish than New Zealand has sheep.

But my main attraction was Chester! No not Siang Loong. It's the adorable 3 month old poodle!

The waitress came with the bowls and announed: This is for you to wash your fingers when you are done.

How patronizing? Like we were gonna gulp down the water because we are stupid, which we would have since they charge for water and REFUSE to give me tap water even!

Moving along, we had some ribs- damn nice ribs and this is Istee eating it.

Prior to dinner Istee had a total makeover day. She cut her hair and... wait for it...

Yes, it's funny and it's an inside joke.

Since they refuse to give us water- even when FM asked for water for her tea because it's too sweet, they REFUSED! They say they could bring us ice tho. Which they only did after I asked TWICE! They brought a bucket of ice (how generous) that's when we worry if they'd charge for it too!

Oli took this second picture because he thought I looked fat in the first one. Then he shut up when he realized I AM that fat. BTW, it's me sucking on ice- because they DON'T SERVE WATER!

Moving on, the PIG CAME! Half of a piglet. I actually felt kesian since I befriended a baby wild boar recently which died that same week...

The German waitress that explained the Spanish custom of cutting the piglet with plates and then breaking the plates.

There's a video but I shall try to upload it another time. It's one of Oli smashing the plate into a bucket. Before doing so, you need to make a wish- love or money only. Oli chose LOVE! Aww...

We also had seafood paella.

That's our entire dinner sans ribs- we gulfed it down...

I ate very little pig tho but the skin was superb.

After dinner, FM offered to send us back, so sweet kan?

Since we all know I stay in Sentul, we passed by school!

Yes, we got a bit nostalgic towards the end of the night.

Hey guys, how are you?

I've been busy applying for jobs, waiting and waiting for their replies since. So far, I've got 3 interview appointments. 2 jobs in consultancy (1 on jln dungun, another 1 is in uptown damansara) and another job in market research (in PJ).

Totally clueless about consultancy but hey, the job descriptions sound pretty challenging and interesting. Oh, and related to my degree too. I've been reading malaysian business news too. Hahaa.. really difficult to digest but I'm getting there!!

As stupid as this show was, it brought us all together. We'd leave MSN Messenger to sit in front of our TV screens, send out reminders that the show was on in 5 minutes, and text one another while the show was on. Oli would be rooting for the Indian contestants, and all of us would be screaming in frustration/crying with laughter at Jessy Man Ay Teng's antics. The next day at school, we'd gather and bitch and roar about the drama* that ensued, who got eliminated, etc.

*I remember in one episode, this fat Indian woman teased her fellow contestant, a skinny Malay girl, about her track pants - there were wings imprinted on the seat of the pants, and after some outdoor activities, her pants got soiled. So the Indian woman said, "You have a dirty angel on your backside," which made the Malay girl go berserk and she started screaming and crying. Walao way!

But when we talk about 'Malaysia's Most Beautiful,' only one contestant crops up in the conversation every single time: Jessy Man Ay Teng. How can we forget the contestant who made statements such as...

"Hail Berry!"

"I likes to touch the underneath of the chicken because it's so soft there."

???

Even though she didn't win the competition, you can't deny she was the highlight of the show. I bet you, you can't even remember the winner's name :) Well, it's Dilla! And I only know cause I Googled it. The fact that Jessy even made it to the finals is mind-boggling and reeks of suspicion that the game show was rigged for the sake of maintaining an audience. No wonder there wasn't a season 2; the show was plain ridiculous. Yet we were hooked.

When Abby told me who the winner was 5 seconds before they announced it, I thought my TV was lagging and I got so potong stim... But turns out she was only guessing and as usual, she has a knack for predicting the right outcome. Hais, Abby Wabby... You should work for the weather channel.

ok so i just woke up from this weird ass sci-fi dream...........i dont know what year this dream is from...we all live in space ships....very star trek.....so basically i was visiting oli's "house/ship".......somehow....my college mates came along.....HAHA.....then i asked oli....."eh wheres enli"....then oli said ...."she went out to get stuff"....."so i assume oli and enz are living together and enz went to earth or some land to get stuff?.....and.......later on something happened to the ship.....coz it was losing altitude.....and suddenly the dream skipped to..beaming enli up...........then some dude called me.....and i woke up...........i know....how interesting blog entry..........................

so what are my post shanghai plans for the whole month.....nothing..i dont know....looking for stuff to do.....looking for some casting opportunities if i find any....just casual.......maybe volunteering for something.....u know la..i always say but dont do.......

A New York Weekend

FRIDAY:~

There's a whole new meaning to TGIF when you're a working woman. The weekend is a time to unwind, catch up with your friends, and splurge on the fine life. Ok, so I can't really splurge because my internship is unpaid... But my working friends spend a lot, especially since most of them are in finance. And hanging out with them means I have to spend a lot too... T_T But they really are an extremely nice bunch; some of them often try to pay for my food/drinks discreetly since I'm 'still in school' and 'so young.' So sweet right!

On Friday I attended the opening reception of an art installation in the Bronx. The gallery was full of hipsters sipping drinks & exchanging tete-a-tete. The artist, Tatt Foo, is a friend of my friend's. He's Malaysian! It's quite hard to break into the New York art scene, but he's been doing quite well for some years now, so I'm extremely happy for him and proud too. Malaysia Boleh! :)

Some of his stuff is really abstract, but there is deeper meaning behind all of his work. It was really interesting to hear what he had to say about each one.

My friends & I went traipsing around the whole of New York that night! From Manhattan to the Bronx, and finishing up in Brooklyn.

There was an outdoor film festival in Williamsburg featuring short animations by aspiring film majors. Some were really funny, like there was this stop motion animation about a pot-head chef. LoL! When it ended, we headed to a quaint bar in the vicinity for drinks, chit-chat & finger food.

SATURDAY:~

I explored one of my favorite parts of town - the West Village. I found out that there are more nice places to eat at West Village, whereas there's more to do in the East Village. But both have cutesy boutiques with great clothes :D

That night, it was 'time to make-a-noisy' with the Notorious MSG!

Last week, I interviewed this independent band called the Notorious MSG for Chief Magazine, and I've been dying to see them perform live! 2 of my besties from Hofstra came with me.

Mike (the blondest kid you will ever meet - his eyebrows and eyelashes are practically invisible! Not, he's not albino. Lol! But I love that kid), Giselle (drama-Queen), & Sammeh Wammeh.

We had mad fun!!! Mike & Giselle thought the Notorious MSG were hysterical. I caught Down-Lo Mein's wife-beater when he tore it off and threw it into the crowd, but I didn't keep it cause it was really sweaty! LOL! I'm not that much of a crazed fan.

After the concert, Mike had to head home since he had to work early the next day. But the night was still young... I went to the after-party of my friend, Sharlene's birthday and Giselle tagged along.

Mostly everyone was Asian at Sharlene's party, and Giselle loved being the minority for once. Hahah! Quite a bit of drama took place that night... AS USUAL. Hais! What's a night out in town without drama? But then again, sometimes it can get sakit hati.

SUNDAY:~

I heart brunch. I hardly have breakfast anymore these days... It's always brunch, tea + dinner.

It's Restaurant Week in New York, and the acclaimed eateries here are going all out to impress. Most restaurants are offering set meals featuring their signatures dishes as well as seasonal items. My foodie friends managed to get a booking at Perry Street, an American-French eatery.

Perry Street is one of Jean-Georges' establishments. In case you're a katak di bawah tempurung... Stolen from Wikipedia: Jean-Georges Vongerichten (German pronunciation: [ʒɑn ʒɔʀʒ vɔŋəˈrɪxtən]) is "one of the most celebrated chefs on the planet."

Prepare to whet and wet your taste buds!

Everyone got a complimentary teacup of Strawberry gazpacho - an unusual twist to the usual chilled tomato based soup from Italy.

The dish was classy, but taste wise, I didn't find it spectacular.

When it first arrived, he was like, "Look at my airplane food." But it obviously didn't taste anything like gross airplane food. The omelet's texture was so smooth and bouncy & the shoe-string fries were addictive!

Sharlene was gonna have a tuna burger, but when she heard that Simon & I were ordering it, she asked for a normal cheeseburger instead; she likes to try as many different things on a menu as possible. So I gave her half my burger & she gave me half of hers. That way, we got to sample both :) The two of us agreed that the beef patty was way more delicious; the tuna burger was a little strange for our liking.

Mandarin speaking level - not bad....not bad at all hahaha. some people i met actually thought i was a local...which was.....good to know my chinese is good enough to pass as a local but degrading at the same time.. u know how we malaysian chinese always feel superior to mainland chinese ppl...yeah.
Highlight of China - CHINA'S SEX MUSEUM. and of course.. the eclipse!!!!!!! it was sooooo crazy! it was pitch dark, as if it was 9.30pm, but it was 9.30AM. amazing.. incredible. unfortunately it was raining and the sky was covered in grey clouds.. so too bad for those people who spent loads of money just to come and see the full eclipse in Suzhou/Shanghai.

Am I glad to be home? i'll let u guys figure that out ;)

So winter break's over and uni starts tomorrow (boo!). I've got tons of prep readings to finish and it's only the first week. My dad went back to Msia on Friday =( Kinda got used to having him around. I almost forgot how lame he could get and now I miss it. Most of you had first hand experience of my dad's lameness XP.

This week was rather interesting or I shall say eventful. No they are not the same.

First and foremost, we had the 'twelve + one' dinner/reunion.

Guess how many of us turned up?

Three! ONLY THREE! But Seth joined us so not to cham la. But still... WHERE IS THE SPIRIT! *glares at En-Li*

It was very star studded tho Daikanyama. Saw many celebs there. PLus I love the place SAMMY/ ULBIE!

I also went to the pet shop this week in Ikano. I feel in love with a three month old baby albino phyton. It has orange tinge. VERY CUTE! Played with it for an hour but didn't buy it because parent don't let. :(

Hint: Present for 21st birthday!

Aside from that, nothing much lor. Still hanging out at night with Seth, Hwang and Brandon. Ji Liang and SK joined us one night!

OH OH, one day, we had a small Wesley reunion at Alexis BSC, about 8 of us. Jia Nern and Aaron Kumar then came to Andalus also.Can't wait to take you guys there!

Weekly Update!

Hey guys! This would be my first weekly update. Couldn't update last week cuz I was still in Sydney. Anyways, I'm still on Winter Break now and this holiday I visited Melbourne and Sydney! I spent 1 week in Melbourne and another in Sydney. I also attended the Hillsong Conference that's held in Sydney every year. Sung! I heard from Lee Na that you were there too! If I knew you were going as well we could have met up!

Had dinner at this Sichuan restaurant where everything was SWIMMING in chilli. This dish was the spiciest of them all. It looks more like chilli cooked with chicken than chicken cooked with chilli if you know what I mean

That's all I have at the moment. Sydney pictures are still in the camera and my comp can't read the memory card.

I came back last Tuesday after a 2-week long holiday. Honestly, I found the last few days kinda boring like I really wanted to go home because 2 weeks is just too long! Hehe! Yeah so when I got back, my bro and dad came over to Perth to visit and right now I'm just enjoying my time with them and taking them around.

Sorry this is coming in a bit late... Well, it actually depends on which country you're in. It's 20 minutes after Sunday night in New York - 12:20am on a Monday.

It's so encouraging to see more entries on the 12+1 blog this week than there have been in the past few years! Lol! :D I love hearing from you guys. Clever Abby! Much much love~ *Mwah!*

So what did I do this weekend? On Friday night, I am quite the sad to say that I think I got alcohol poisoning for the first time in my life! >.<" It was a friend's birthday and we went cheong kei and drank like crazy. During every bout of nausea, you know what popped into my mind? Michelle Lee's first time getting drunk at Sky Bar (or was it Luna Bar? It was some rooftop bar lah!) on New Year's Eve 2008! Shann, James, Winny and Billy were there too. I can't believe it was so long ago. I remember Miccy saying, "I don't know why people wanna get drunk... It's the worst feeling in the world!" My hangovers have always been manageable, but this time, I seriously thought I was dying. So now I totally understand what Miccy meant! I can't look at alcohol without feeling my stomach churn. Let's see how long that lasts.

Saturday was spent recuperating, but in the evening, I felt well enough to catch that new Johnny Depp movie with some friends. 'Public Enemies' sucks! Not one of Depp's best. Then we went for dinner at this quaint bar/restaurant called 'The Red Head,' followed by hookah in the Lower East Side. It was my first time at a place where they use fruits as a bong!

Today I watched 'Transformers II'... FINALLY. I'd heard bad reviews about it, but it was okay whaaat... I can't wait for the new Megan Fox movie where she's an evil high school cheerleader. Have you guys seen the trailer? That young actress from 'Mama Mia' is staring in it too. Looks good!

Back to work tomorrow! I've been looking for a new job aside from my internship at an arts & culture magazine, because it's an unpaid internship which only offers college credit. Some of you already know what happened to my previous job at this comic store: I friggin got fired! Well, not really... But my employer was a real A-hole. He asked me out and when I said I preferred to keep things professional, he started getting cold towards me. Then one day, he told me not to come for work because he wasn't opening the store. But I sensed something fishy, and asked my coworker if she was going in to work and she said, "Yeah, normal hours." So the mother cheebs indirectly let me go! @#$%! The job was paying really well and I got to take home free comics and dvds! :( But whatever lah, I don't want to work for someone with such lousy principles. On top of that, he was a huge racist... Not towards me, but towards African Americans, which made me feel as if I was betraying my black friends in a way. Should have brought Khaliy to work to tick him off! Nyaha!

hehe i know im past deadline. but ish. nevermind la horrr...:)

what did i do this week..hrms... last sunday i went to ipoh..my dad's cousin passed away..and incidentally another family friend of mine also passed away this evening. people from my parent's generation are dying~!!!!:'(

it's a bit freaky la...and i can see my parents are kinda a lil disturbed about it...

spent monday to thursday sick and self-quarantine because i had flu and fever and cough.. but im not dead yet therefore it aint swine flu :)

ahems. on friday i went out with my long-time god brother (some or at least most of you would know him)..and his lil bro..and bryan and marcus teo..mic sam cap wayn and maybe shann would know who im talking about..

saturday was spent DRIVING for the first time in two years...in my car:):):):):):) i love my car:):):):) apparently its my 21st bday present la but my dad probably just bought it because he's been on a spending spree lately:D

also got a pedi..from soong ai ling's spa..the decor is damnn cute and traditionally english with alot of ornate shelves, knick knacks hung on the wall...soong ai ling herself painted my toes.. IE: damn expensive laaaa omg. about 10 buck more expensive than glitters..sighers.

sunday..went to church..and then spa in Morino Kaze with mom in KL. shann, cap; u know what imma be talking about yea?????;) HEEHEE. shann rmb the dude??? loll..good times good times...when cap comes back we goes agains ok?

LOL this one i must tell you ALL: I AM DAMN PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT I CAN STILL DO ADD MATHS AFTER ALL THIS WHILE. I KID YOU NOT.

been trying to teach my insufferable brother the subject..he is form 5 this year..time really flies huh. and and and...tomorrow will bring back tons of memories for me because i shall be going back to wesley..brothers parent teachers day LOLLL... omg la this is going to be so fun..sitting on the OTHER chair for once..and not being afraid of what the teachers are gonna say..

Soooo, let me use pictures to describe my weekend.

Saturday.

Myself and Yvonne had to do Corporate Social Responsiblity for JPMorgan as part of our internship so we had to do some gardening/landscaping work for a homeless shelter in London. Forgot to take pictures of the work we did cause we were busy doing it, so I'll post up a pictures of the shirt that JPM gave us to wear. We were walking advertisement. But before we could even get out of the house, I cut my thumb while washing plates when one of the plates broke into two.

It was a good movie, action pack like crazy but I thought the storyline was quite shit. And then there was Megan Fox. I thought the earlier Decepticon-Girl-Robot was quite hot too. Like a blond version of Megan Fox.

The day hasn't ended yet over here in London, but so far, I've met up with Wei Yang again for lunch at this Malaysian restaurant, Rasa Sayang. Again, I was too busy eating so I only took pictures of the food midway/after we finished. Lol.

As mentioned earlier, my finals was this week and it was pretty alright. Fingers cross.

Life has been pretty routine these days, I go to class in the day and I hang out with friends at night and some times until the wee hours.

Usually hang with Seth, Kuan Hwang and my new friend Brandon. Occasionally, Jeng Shuin, SK or Jia Nern join us.

They like Shisha-ing at this place call Andalus in Ampang. I don't smoke but according to them it's awesome! And cheap too! Tho I don't shisha, it's nice chilling there la.

I think it must have been years since I last blogged here. And yup, I get the feeling no one reads it...but in fact I do stalk our blog like almost everyday. So it's worth an update!

I guess there's nothing new with me, or rather, I don't know what to update you guys on about? After my exams, I went to Greece and Paris for a lil bit of holiday...pics are up on facebook and I'm too lazy to upload them here :( After which, I did a short internship at some law firm in London before flying back. Hence I got back on Monday and have been doing a little bit of errands & bumming until today. I should be going to Spore this weekend hence I'll call you guys out next week :) Succinct??

I don't know if any of you noticed, I privated by blog few months ago cause I wasn't gonna update it anymore. Then I changed its url cause I didn't want ppl to stalk me. After which I thought, screw everyone and so now it's back to the same url. Just incase you guys wanted to find me :)

We are always complaining about how our blog is dead and always points fingers at each other to do something but no one ever steps up.

Here's what I am suggesting:

At the end of every week, most people should have five minutes on Sunday nights,

Each of us, write a short post of what we did throughout that week. It doesn't have to be an essay it doesn't have to be long. Be creative. It can be one word, it can be a 30000 word thesis. We love each other and we will read it.

No time for words? Post pictures! We are masters of camwhoring and capturing pictures! Caption a few pictures of what you did. No matter if it is boring, again, we love each other, so we'll read it! In fact Google a picture of how you felt that week! THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!

The purpose of the blog was to make sure we stay in touch, while I love none of you less but sometimes I feel that I've lost touch with you guys a bit. :(

I'm back in UK as u all already know, which means....yes...start blogging again.
Somehow i just dont have the mood/content to blog in KL.......

Wait, I guess when you are reading this...you might think, who's this?? Yes, its a new voice which had not spoken on this blog for AGES (I sooo can't remember when was my last post..probably sometime in 2006). Oh well, try not to scroll down and unravel the mystery author behind this post. Lol.

Ah yes. Please tell me that time does fly by. As we reflect on our past..we notice how almost (if not all!) of our "casanovas" have changed. Just a lil bit of irony that how we thought (or atleast en li!) thought that these people were our casanovas (Gosh, I hate it everytime when I have to use the word we but I could not resist pointing this thing out!Crap!) Goes to show that our needs and personalities change over time and what we want back then may not be the same as what we want now. What we look for would have changed as well. Guys guys guys, something is happening and it's freaking me out

someone is using my malaysia 017 number and calling my dad, miss calling him for about 20 times and also sending him text msges that my dad has no ability to comprehend or decipher......but the freaky thing is...my malaysia sim card....IS WITH ME NOW . and i put it in my wallet...not in my phone...so i didnt accidentally call him or ..send him weird msges when im sleep walking.....

So those of you...in Malaysia....or not......if ure free....and curious.....and if u dont mind.....try calling my 017 number and check out what's going on. If that person is so free to call my dad...i dont see why they wont call u.......

I dunno if any of you ever felt this before. I get like...sudden flashes from the past. As if it is some kinda premonition, but from the past.

Its not about any events or anything I once did, it's more of the sights and sounds i use to experience. Something like a deja vu, but im damn sure it has happened before.

for example, when i woke up this morning...u know the moment when u're awake but u haven't open your eyes, like you know ure in ure own room therefore u expect to see wat u normally will see, and this morning i had the image of my room back in KL in my head and when i opened my eyes -WTF where the hell am i...after 3 secs....oh im in uk.

The sky was very blue today, i was staring out my window. i love staring out the window. And suddenly i see that familiar image, the view i see when i stare out my kl window, the sights...the smell of the polluted air, and the sound from the auntie behind scolding her maid all came to me.

And when i walked into the kitchen, i saw my flatmate taking out some onions, that smell reminded me of the smell onions in ramli burgers, suddenly i was in front of the burger stall, hearing the ramli dude banging his spatula on the stove, smelling the world's best burger, feeling damn hungry.

I think this is called home sickness.

And yes, Malaysia is the best country in the world with the best people u'll ever meet.

While typing this i feel a sudden rush of warmness in my eyes.

8 more weeks people.

Ive left for 7 months already, it did past really quickly, but this 8 weeks seem to be reallllly long.

8 more weeks till i can actually feel sweaty again. 8 more weeks till i feel the sun burning my skin.

The phrase that i currently cherish the most - "welcome to kuala lumpur international airport. Selamat datang ke lapangan terbang antarabangsa kuala lumpur"

Now i understand why people get up and take their luggages before the seat belt sign is off after landing.

Yo peeps, just got back from my Morocco Hitch..well sort of and it was AWESOMEEEE. However Me and Izzy could only managed to hitch to Southern Spain because some ~~bastards~~ people at the Morocco Embassy refuse to give me my visa, so yeah. BUT logically, the difference between South Spain and Morocco is juts one ferry ride..so we sorta still made the hitch! So to begin...

Friday (14/03)

Started the hitch on a heavy note, having gone to London for our last attempt to get my visa. Reached there at 10.30 only to find out that opening hours was from 9-10. Like DOUBLE-U. TEE. EFF. right? So we decided fuck it and maybe try our luck at the embassy at Madrid.

So off we went, walked to the outskirts of London (it was one fucking long walk)...reached the A28 highway..and thus our hitch started! Waited for almost an hour before we got out first hitch! Brought us all the way to the outskirts of Portsmouth, where we had to walk through this jungle trekking path which took another hour before we found this main road where we managed another hitch all the way into town, where we met up with Izzy's aunt and uncle, who provided us dinner - really nice folks. After that, got a "hitch" from the aunt to the ferry port, and off we went to Le Havre, France!

Saturday (15/03)

Reached Le Harve at 9 in the morning in which me and Izzy waited outside of the ferry port for this trucker dude whom we found to take us alllll the way to Madrid, but sadly he failed to show up. In broken spirits, we walked another half hour to a service station where we saw about 7 pairs of hitchers trying to get a hitch. Took me and Izzy a good hour before we got a hitch to Normandy Bridge, where again, there was a line of hitchers as well. Waited for probably another hour before we got a ride with two travelling French dudes to Liseaux, which was this small town with literally farmhouses left and right of the road..sheep, goats, haystacks, log, everything! We had to walk up a hill for about 20 minutes and were about to give up when a man stopped for us to give us a lift! It was honestly a hallelujah moment. He had a very eager son who could speak english, and so for the next 2 hours plus he practiced his English with us, while we tried to perfect our French. (mine is still shit lol). Anyway, they dropped us off at Le Mans which was awesome, and he even gave us free McD vouchers! We tried hitching to Tours but it was getting pretty late, so we found a hotel and rested the night.

Sunday (16/03)

By far, this day was the day we had the most hitches - Five to be exact. We started the day pretty well, took us 3 rides to Tours. We met Jerome who was our 2nd hitch of the day, which made a lasting impact on me and Izzy because he came up with the silliest quotes..and the trademark quote of our entire hitch was " I wish the world - no money, only Love " with a really strong French accent and bad English. Moving on, we had the most harrowing experience on this day as well as we were dropped off at a toll station by a lady, our 4th hitch. We waited there for a good FOUR HOURS in the sopping rain and wind. We were both wet from head to toe, shivering like two mad cows in Antartica. To make matters worse, we were finally chased off the toll station and had to walk 2 kilometers in the cold rain to another road that was FREE as opposed to the toll road. We finally managed one last hitch to Poitiers before it went dark. Got a hostel and had a good rest after drying up lol.

Monday (17/03)

Got pretty lucky on this day as our first hitch brought us all the way to Bordeaux (south of France). From there we manage to get our first trucker, which turned out to be going all the way to Burgos, Spain. He was from Czech Republic and we had to camp out the night at this service station with his other Czech truckers friends. Ended up having cheap champagne, wine, and beer with the guys up to a point where me and Izzy got a little too worried with the situation. Our original Czech Republic dude was getting a bit touchy with Izzy and we had to fake a call from our organization insisting that we had to sleep together for the night. Finally, we slept in another Czech driver's truck as he could bring us all the way to Madrid! So we slept in the truck for the night while watching some movie, surrounded by the sound of the rain outside. We were pretty glad we were indoors.

Tuesday (18/03)

Finally got to Madrid the next day having pass through San Sebastian and Burgos. The north of Spain is truly really beautiful, with rocky mountains and towering trees, it was honestly the greatest view the entire trip. Unfortunately, my camera phone went out of battery, so no pictures of it here i'm afraid. We finally reached the outskirts of Madrid at around 4pm, where we met another pair of Warwick hitchers at the toll station who actually left a day after us! Damn those people had luck. Anyway, me and Izzy managed another hitch after that into Madrid, where we spent the night at the heart of the city and went out for some drinks and real food.

Wednesday (19/03)

Woke up quite early in the morning and left for the Moroccan Embassy, waited for the Visa section to open only to find out that we couldn't apply there as i could only apply in England due to my English visa which gave me an address in the UK. So that was that. Me and Izzy were feeling a bit down, but what the heck, we continued down to the Granada! Took us the whole day to get to Granada, and by the time we reached it was already 11pm. We finally had to sleep the night away with 6 other hitchers at the bus station, where we were ready to take a bus the next day to Orgiva where the DRAGON FESTIVAL in conjuction with the Spring Equinox (and coincidentally with Easter Weekend as well) was being held in the high mountains of Spain. That i have to say, was a whole new chapter of the journey.

Thursday (20/03)
Woke up pretty early as we didn't get much sleep the night before anyway. Left the bus station to Orgiva which was this small ass two which practically consisted of a 3 rows of shops along the mountain ridge and a cathedral. They didn't even have a proper bus station. So me and Izzy got off at center of town, hoping to find a tent we could live in while at the festival, but it was to no avail. We were deeply screwed. And again, it started to freaking pour. Finally, we decided to take a chance and head for the festival, make a few friends and bunk in their tents. So we started walking in the rain, led by this Israeli girl who knew the way to the festival. So in the rain, we walked and walked and walked up the mountains, across some beautiful scenery. In the end the rain was so heavy, we had to shade ourselves in a tunnel and hope for a ride. And indeed, our hitching skills paid off when we were picked up by this English woman who was going to the festival as well. And lo and behold! It turned out that she was actually the master of the "Healing Space" at the festival and had a house up the mountains, about 5 minutes walk away from the festival. She very much kindly offered us her "Healing Room" in her house for us to stay after hearing about our predicament. That was seriously another hallelujah moment.

Friday-Sunday (21/03 to 23/03)

Spend the entire weekend at the festival which was AWESOME. Saw a lot of hippie (and quite pagan) performances, ate a lot of festival food, was surrounded by the smell of weed and cigarettes everywhere, and everywhere we turned, someone had dreadlocks. Izzy didn't feel quite as special anymore there. We seriously enjoyed our time there though it was clearly a hippie and up to a certain extent a pagan festival, where we saw gypsies, tarot readers, healers, and that sort. It was an interesting experience. Me and Izzy even participated in this "opening ceremony" which required all of us to hold our hands with each other and walk into this "labryinth" of rocks, all the way chanting this song we did not know the lyrics to with people we did not know. We both agreed that was probably the hippiest thing we could have ever done.
Lol. Living in the house was quite an experience as well, as it was an eco-friendly house which ment we did our ahem, "business" in holes and covered them with sawdust. We finally had to leave the festival on Sunday, fun as it was to head back to Madrid and back to civilisation!

Monday - Wednesday (24th - 26th 08)

Hung out at Madrid, took a hell lot of pictues. Met some really cool people - 2 german guys and 2 polish girls whom we hung out with and travelled and explored the city. Went to various bars and restuarants, visited the Prado Museum and the Caixa Forum, did alot of sightseeing at the Retiro Park and the city. We even rowed a boat in a lake in the middle of the city! To be honest, among all the cities i have visited in Europe, Madrid by far is my favourite. It is just such a beautiful city which so much culture and history, and plenty of things to do! I recommend anyone who wants to go for a vacation to go there! It was seriously an awesome place and i am definitely planning to go back. And so, on Wednesday morning, me and Izzy took a plane back from Madrid back to England.

It's been a long time!

Hey guys! I know i know i haven't blogged since forever...but seriously, ive been awesomely busy since i've been to UK..no kidding. It's hard to juggle time over here. (im actually writing this while taking a break at 3am to work on my World Politics essay)

But no matter, here we are!

Let's see..what is there to talk about...hmm..nothing much actually..im just gonna let the pictures do the talking. Well, almost all the pictures are on facebook...so i am gonna pick the few that didn't go up yet...

This is during Warwick Malaysian Night when loads of people came to Warwick...and they were :

Miss us much anyone??? I swear we all look damn ass mature. If we compare now and 3 years ago back in form 5...we look so much freaking better. Hahha.

Anyway what else...what else..oh! for those who hasn't heard already..i'm hitchhiking to Morocco during the Easter break! It's for a charity to help children in Africa in their lives and to provide them with an education. This is the link : http://www.lcd.org.uk/events/hitch/

So to fundraise, me and my partner made tie-dyed knickers and sold them. In the matter of interest....here is how we did it :

Step One : Buy knickers/boxers (WHITE!)
Step Two : Cut out a stencil in the shape of a heart
Step Three : Use the stencil and print it on the white knickers/boxers

That's my hitch partner, IZZZY!
(as can be seen she is drawing the heart shape using the stencil onto the knickers)

Step Four: (this is a bit hard). Fold the heart-shaped area according to the outline of the shape and once you have folded it all around the heart...use a rubber band/string and tie the folded part. The idea here is to leave a small part that will not be colored by the dye (since it is protected by the rubber band/string)

Step Five : Put the dye together with salt, into the machine, insert some cash and let it run!

and then VOILA!

That 16000 visits, are all by us. I think i come in around 3 times a day on average in hopes of finding a new blog entry, and if everyone here does that.....39 visits a day......and...we had this blog since 2005...so ..someone do the math......and sometimes if i've posted something on....i will come more often to see if anyone left any comments for me to reply to...so that's more than 3 visits a day.....So yea........how would people know the existance of this blog ANYWAY.....i dont think any of us actually went and advertise our blog on their MSN names...like everyone else does....

4) same thing every year....hope i will live 08 to the fullest.....i dont know what fullest is but...prolly at 31/12/08 i can look back at the year and feel that i've done SOMETHING.....well for 07....i think its a pretty big year with big things happening......for the 1st time ever i let ppl in my house for my first ever self organised bday (quite sad yea....18 bdays b4 wasnt really celebrated....oh wait....i remember sammy and all bought me a cake for my 18th...and i remembered myself pissing her off that day....apologies)....had a great time...thx for coming......finished a levels........went for 3 trips...langkawi....melbourne and hk.....got a levels results...probably my saddest moment ever......i know i know...at least i got into a uni...not the best one..but still...a uni......but imagine..during interview...."So i see u got 1st class honours and bunch of interesting things u got urself involved in.....internships and all..impressive......ok im gonna hire.......wait..what did u get for a levels....WHAT?!?! not a single A?...ok ure wasting my time...get out"............got to uni......got more independant and all....got to snowboard!! ...thats prolly it for 07?
5) make more friendsssss gosh...i need friends in nott....friends that will call me out...friends that i can hang out with.........i can consider myself friendless at the moment.....at times like this that i realise u guys are the best!

HEY GUYS!
I just got back from holidaysss.....damn depressed nowww..exam starts on the 10thh.....haven't study shit........

So as u guys know....i didn't go back to Msia this Winter....
-Went to Coventry (Warwick Uni) on the 7th
-Birmingham on the 10th
-London on the 18th....stayed with Oli in ISTEE'S place! (thanks loads Istee!..and wee rin)....shop shop shop......boxing day...should i love it or hate it?...i dont know...its so crowded i cant friggin move in any shops....its so crazy the escalators in river island (a shop) just stopped moving due to overweight....escalators getting overweight??...only happens on boxing day sales i guess......no mood to shop....too many people......but.....Armani shirt ...from 200 pounds to 39 pounds?...crazy shit.........

-29th......FLY TO TURIN!...now this is the part im gonna blog about.....from turin, italy...took a 2 hour bus ride to Serre Chevalier, France. Its basically a part of the french alps called serre chevalier....

Went there for a week long ski trip with my cousin and his friends....snow boarding to be exact.....Wasnt really keen at first after the countless amount of falls in mount buller...melbourne.....im sure sung, wy and sammy can relate......but trust me...this is NOTHING like buller.....Basically....everyone there is divided into groups ....im in the beginners group. Everyday, we will have lessons from 9 to 12...and 2 to 5.....it doesnt matter if you are a beginner..or expert....there will be lessons suited for each stage...and everyday we learn different stuff.....unlike mount buller.....we were given....i would say a 30 min lesson...and of we go to the slopes to die.......but this one we are guided from scratch...for 6 days.......

so as a beginner.....i learnt the basics..how to turn left and right...and all that...but the experts will go to snow park.....its basically like....a park....for skiers/boarders to do tricks......like jumping in the air and do tricks .......skiing on a horizontal bar...stuff like that...

the placed i stay in is called UCPA...its actually a youth hostel........like...YMCA?.......we sleep in "dorms"..they say its a dorm...but it feels nothing like a dorm......4 beds a room..everyone has their own bed.......and shared WC/Bathroom......the only diff part is we have to clean the room and toilet outselves....thats all...

ALL meals are provided.......and i expected shit food...for a youth hostel...but...gosh .....its NOTHING near SHITTY...might be better then some hotel buffets......french food.......from starters to desserts...everything damn niceee.........but we have to clean our own tables and all la.....

Instead of being with you back at homee... i was stuck heree.. and took up on a road trip to MEXICO!! it was insanely fun.. with no alcohol involved (for once) lol. the mexican border was only abt half n hour from my place.. but it was vast contrast between the cities only half an hour apart.. crazy huh. I went with my fellow malaysian fren, and his frens lol. never met before.. now dat's a real adventure.. well they turned out to be really awesome people so no harm done haha.

The road to the Fox Studio was along the coast and the scenery was BEAUTIFUL! overlooking the pacific ocean.

Along the way i saw this huge statue of Jesus.. hahaha super random!

In case u guys cant see lol.. Titanic, 007 Tomorrow Never Dies n Pearl Harbor was filmed in this place.. But of all.. i only got a pretty complete tour on the set of Titanic.

A lil history.. this place was actually built for the filming of Titanic.. Then.. more n more ppl wanted to take a look inside and see whats goin on.. so they opened it up to the public.. =s haha

First thing I saw. the antique car. and Yes. The REAL car. lol the real one they used in the movie.. where they had sex.. hahaha.. the tour guide was lik...does anyone remember what happened in this car. LOL. everyone was lik... nodding nervously hahaha. AWKWARD. and the guide was lik...yesss.. the love scenee..ha-ha-ha -_-"

and the original ship wreck model.. which was used in the first scene

The room where Jack was locked up.. lol then the tour guide was lik explaining how 3 types of handcuffs were used during the movie and the axe that kate used to chop open the axe was also different.. one real n one rubber.. kinda make me think how phony movie making is... bluff ppl wan. LOL

This is one set of boiler.. Rmb this scene? where jack n rose were running past a longg row of boilers.. BULLSHIT. the room has only two sets.. the one in the picture and another set next to it. Basically they just run again n again from the start of the room until the end of the room.. which is lik 20m lol until they got that scene... this explanation left my jaw hanging. lol unbelievable.

Well, that was my first thought when I saw her after... How long has it been? Forever lah.

Miccy looks the same, skinny knees and all, except that she was wearing a skirt, kitten heels & a cute tube top! She's all lady now :) No more Wang Lee Hom days.

Shann, Miccy & I were reunited over lunch at Marmalade and a good lunch it was indeedy!

Yummilicious Oreo cheesecake.

It was so perfect - Shann ordered an appetizer (fries), Mic ordered a main (spaghetti carbonara) & I ordered desert (the cake). We didn't even realise it until all the food arrived & then we shared everything.

Weirdest minty Oreo milkshake we've ever tasted!

For the dieter - Shann had a lychee mint tea instead...

...of which she refused to stir when she realised that her tea leaves had settled into a heart shape at the bottom of the cup. Pretty cool huh! We fell into conversation about Professor Trelawney & divination skills then. Lol.

Every Christmas, BV has this candyhouse-making competition & the results were on display today. This is my favourite. Check out the cool little pond this kid built! He/She used blue M&Ms & fish biscuits for it! So creative :D

After the working woman went back to her job, (eh we have yet to check out the Baby Phat bag ok!) Miccy & I hung around Bangsar for a bit and bumped into Yi Lin & Edmund from church. Yi Lin was going to get her eyebrows threaded so we tagged along.

I love being around peoples first times at anything! This time it was Michelle's cherry we popped. Heehee! Got the moment on camera too!

Gosh! I just took the coldest shower I’ve ever taken in Manchester ever! It’s been freezing cold the past two days as it has been raining non stop.. it's 3+ in the morning, and it’s 3 degrees outside now!!.. and of all times, the shower decided to run out of hot water!!! =(

Natasha was taking a shower earlier, and by the end of her shower, she was experiencing no hot water. We though it was just for a while.. However, when I decided to shower after she came out, there was still no hot water! After a few minutes standing there I decided to just give the shower downstairs a try.. blardy hell, it was ‘slightly’ warm at first, at least it was warmer than the water upstairs, though Zayd was still calling me crazy when I said I would shower under that water temperature, but after he left and I was getting ready to shower.. it became colder than the water upstairs!!!

I went back up to give the water upstairs a try and the water still weren't the least bit warm.. Nat told me to give it 5-10 minutes because she probably used up all the hot water in the boiler when she was showering earlier, and told me to give it time for the water to heat up, as according to her, the boiler is connected to the central heater and the central heater is never turned off..

I came back to the room and complained to several people.. I was about to call the accommodation maintenance hotline which is apparently open 24 hours a day only to find out from a friend that the central heater is off from 11pm to 6am! He actually enquired before. That was when I realized that however long I waited, unless I planned to wait till 6 in the morning, which I wasn’t about to, the water wasn’t going to be any warmer than it already was, and just tahan-ed and went to the shower anyway. Boy was it cold! *BRRR!!!!* u know how it is when u feel numb because of cold-ness and when all someone does is scratch u lightly, it already hurts? Yeapz.. that was how I felt just now, when washing myself with the sponge..

It wasn’t as icy as the cold water from the sink but it was still colddd! I guess I should thank the training I had back in Malaysia.. I used to shower with just icy cold water because the weather there was so hot? If I hadn’t, I definitely wouldn’t be able to tahan this cold water as much as I would want to. Lolz.. Came out, straight away boiled and downed 2 glasses of warm water.. ahhh..i feel so much better now.. =) At least I'm clean.. =)

cream sticks, 'Pepsi Cola one-two-
three', Cops and Robbers, main aci
duduk,getah... and for the not so
active, those kind of 'book games'
where
we would use buku latihan to draw and
ask our friends to play... and also dot

other party's dots? we use brains too
rite :D

do you remember the popsicles (ice-
cream tubes) which are actually ice and
colouring that are sold for 10 to 20
cents.. the colourful ones.. where you
usually bite off the top to glup it

what about days when we felt like doing
naughty things such as folding papers
so small to make 'lastik' amd shoot
each other... how about throwing
chalks??

back then, micheal jackson was just
turning white.. and still had albums
coming out.. compared to CD's, we were
listening to casette tapes that sold
for RM9.90...

in computer class, we were still using
black and white computer moniters..
played 'Atari'... maybe SEGA or
NINTENDO...

Hey..just to let u all know..eventhough u've never met him...that David's mom just passed away at about 4.30pm last afternoon..she had a stroke and then went into a coma and went on to be with the Lord..it was very very sudden altho he did say that he expected this day to come cuz his mom had a lot of health problems..

It's good to know that she's in a better place now with God altho it's painful for him and his sister to let her go. He kept tellling me how he never cherished his mom while she was still alive and that he wasn't a very good son (altho he is)..

So i just wanted to tell you guys that if u have the chance..tell ur parents u love them all the time...i know its not our culture to say "i love u" to our parents (but i know some of u do)..but we should break the ice so that we'll have no regrets when the time comes for them to leave.

Appreciate that you've got both your parents still with you..treat them well..tell them u love them...and just cherish the time u have with them...

David's on his way back for the funeral now..its so sad cuz we're having exams in 2 weeks n his sis is only 17...hope u guys can help keep him in prayer..pray for God to strengthen both of them so that they will be able to overcome this hurdle God placed in front of them...

i feel so lonely...It's 1.20am now and i can't get any work done..just feeling so so so so down..i dun really know why..

it's about this girl who has spinocerebellar atrophy..which means the nerves connecting the spinal cord and the cerebellum is slowly degenerating..if u guys can remember..the cerebellum is responsible for unconscious proprioception..go search google if u dunno what that means..i lazy to explain..

i really need help lor....ok ok..i know its not as bad as some people ive seen..but still...being a vain shit .....its a friggin disaster........so any tips guys?.....last resort is of coz laser treatment la......to remove scars....but....its exx to do it here...so i will wait till the next time i go back to msia....dat might be next june...or even next easter..so i give it MORE time to hopefully heal.....

Hey guys, sorry have been abit busy with alot of stuff lately, so here's some update on Warwick! I'll let you guys see my room haha.

The kitchen is pretty big and everyone is relatively tidy. Haha i have nine locals, 1 jap and 1 czech living in the same house as i do and their all pretty cool people. Bummer is that none of them do anything remotely close to my course. Grr.

Anyway, yesterday went down to Birmingham with Ian and Nat. The previous night was shit for me and Nat as we spent half the night puking due to excess drinking lol. Kena owned by the Malaysian seniors (which the pics i wont put up cause its too sad...they can be found on Nat's facebook)

Hey guys!! I went to the most AWESOME theme park ever! even better than Disneyland ahhaha.. the rides here are OUT OF YOUR MINDS... i had a blast~~ joined ppl who wanted the thrills haha. Jon - nv been on a roller coaster.. sat out after 4 rides...oh wells. can't blame him hahaha.. he went wif the mellow ppl lol~ here are some pictures

Since my last post, I've been doing...SOME cool stuff haha..

First, i went to the zoo ahah.. wow wow. Apparently the zoo is lik..one of the best in the world..but i personally didnt find it all too amazing.

Then... i went on the city tour... went to see seals! their soooo freaakin cute i tell u hahaha.

Then.... i went for BEYONCE'S concert!!!! woo hoooo.. i know she's comin to msia soon but oh wells. ahah here are some of the pics i took from far far away. Concert was awesome tho... if u get a chance...MUST GO.

OK. Then.... the International Student Centre organized this lik.....Shisha night ahahha. or Hookah night as they called it. It was fun.. ahahha Made a lot of new frens.. mostly mexicans hahaha. and chinese from china and hong kong. Jon's first time shishaing hahaha. damn funny.
